“Camino Del Sol” is a 5x8" photo zine series designed to visualize the unique qualities of the world, with a focus on landscapes, wildlife and beautiful moments. Volume 1, or Zion National Park & Surrounding was created to show the beauty in the red rock scenery of the famous park in Springdale, Utah as well Arizona and Nevada. With tons of different cacti, wildlife, and tremendous views, these photos are my perspective on how I was able to experience my trip and what memorable moments I was able to capture from it. 
 
All images included were shot by Ryan Carp on a Nikon L35 AF 35mm camera with Kodak Portra 400 film. All images were shot in full color, then transformed to halftone 3 color images which allowed the use of riso inks, a special screen-printing-like process. All photos were shot and developed in Fall of 2021. This photo zine was printed by Risolve Studio, a riso print company based out of Lancaster, PA. All paper used in this project is environmentally friendly Munken stock and presents saturated ink in a unique & special way. The inks used in this book are orange, blue and black riso inks which are plant based and able to show extreme vibrance and texture. These 3 colors were specifically chosen to fit the scenery of the images, with orange complimenting the red rock, blue complimenting the bright sky and black for shadows.
